A bit about me...

I'm Rusty Bytes! I enjoy coding, working on projects related to Rusty (my cat), and exploring tech in general. This website is my way of sharing my passion for programming and creativity with the world.

Pronouns: she/her

I have a background in laboratory science but am currently studying for my Master's in Computer Science. My current CS interests are mastering Python, playing with HTML/CSS/JS for my website, and Raspberry Pi!

Some of my interests:

• Cats, dogs, really any animal! Contrary to what my site may have you believe, I'm not just a cat person, I'm equally as much a dog person! Dogs were/are a special interest of mine :)
• Science, mainly biology, medicine, computer science
• Programming (Python, HTML, etc.)
• Trashy TV
• Rusty
• Music- I've played flute for over 20 years
• Fermentation- I got really into fermenting about two years ago and I haven't stopped! I ferment kombucha, sourdough, milk kefir (in the past), vegetables, fruits, hot sauce, etc.
• Old web
• Cooking and food- I love to cook with my partner and try new recipes! I love Japanese food like ramen and onigiri, and enjoy making it at home
• Collecting stickers and buttons/pins
• Uranium glass- I currently have a small collection going at home
• Games I have been playing Nintendo since the first generation of the Nintendo DS (that started my Nintendogs obsession). I enjoy what you might call "cozy" games, Stardew Valley is probably my all-time favorite. I also love Terraria, Minecraft, Animal Crossing, Mario Kart, Katamari Damacy, and Super Mario Galaxy (I miss the Wii ).
